“Love comes when manipulation stops; when you think more about the other person than about his or her reactions to you. When you dare to reveal yourself fully. When you dare to be vulnerable.”

I think that each of us can relate to this quote.  The meaning of being able to bond with a human being is reliant on sharing experiences, feelings, the whole works.  To allow that type of vulnerability can be completely scary, however, it can also be completely rewarding.  It’s sad that there can never be any guarantee, it would make things so much less painful, less risky.  I guess that without risk, offering up your heart would not be as valuable.  Placing it out there for everyone to see takes a lot of guts and I wish I had that type of strength but after I’ve been beaten down time and time again how do I find the courage to try again? I feel so torn in my emotional state and I wish I could will it away but I can’t.  How does one go about forgetting?  How does one carry on as if nothing has happened, nothing has changed, when in actuality “it eats you up and you are left crying in the dark.”  I want to be happy, or at least return to a place when things were so much simpler.  When holding hands is what friends did and the hardest decision I had to make was who would be on my team for softball.  How I wish I could wear my heart on my sleeve…..

Drama Recommendations

When embarking on the path to becoming a full-fledged addict, it’s nice to have a go-to reference list for quality shows to try and watch.  By no means am I qualified to judge what is considered a masterpiece and what is considered crap but if you happen to like one of the shows on my list, you and I may have similar taste. ^___^  As it happens, I have no particular loyalty to any specific culture when it comes to my drama/movie addiction, so my selections are pretty broad.
